So y'all know, this is a virus. Do not click it. I clicked it, the page didnt respod, so I googled the URL to see what it could have been, and apparently its a trick that's been all over DA. I'm also told that it sends the same comment to my friends, so IM SORRY! REALLY SORRY! Don't click it, but if you do, clear out your cache and cookies.

BRING ON THE CABBAGE, BABY

Yesterday I saw for the first time this old photograph of my grandparents. It was the best I've ever laid eyes on, so sharp and clear.
In maybe 1942, my grandmother was lounging on the lawn of some hotel or something in Florida; my grandfather in military uniform was leaning against the fence and chatting with her. The sky is so sunny it didn't even develop, it just looks white behind the massive palm trees. It's like some still from an old romance film, and it strikes me that they look just like anybody else- but more attractive, I think.

This just about sums it up for me:

Isn't that true? Art can be crazy, surreal, and distinctly un-lifelike but there is always something in it that brings us back and makes us take a good look at reality.

Reach over the iron for something, but misjudge the distance between the iron and your arm and get a third-degree burn.
